Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone
Our Pledge
Mac Admins Europe is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.
We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, social media, and other online media.
Expected Behavior
- Be respectful and considerate in your speech and actions
- Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech
- Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants
- Alert conference organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress
- Participate in an authentic and active way, contributing to the community
- Respect the opinions and experiences of others, even if they differ from your own
Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behaviors include, but are not limited to:
- Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct
- Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability
- Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- Harassing photography or recording
- Sustained disruption of talks or other events
- Inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior
Consequences
Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Reporting
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified by their staff badges.

Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to all Mac Admins Europe conference venues and conference-related social events, as well as online spaces such as the conference Slack channel and social media.

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Conference Code of Conduct and the Contributor Covenant.
