Mac Admins Europe isn't some massive generic tech conference. It's a European meetup specifically for Apple admins—around 200+ people who actually manage macOS and iOS fleets day-to-day. The sessions, discussions, and solutions reflect European organizations, GDPR realities, and local compliance needs. Everything's designed around how we actually work here, not retrofitted from somewhere else.

Smaller means better (and way more fun)

Unlike massive conferences where you're fighting crowds of thousands, this event is intentionally kept small. That means real access to speakers, vendors, and peers who get what you're dealing with. I'll actually have time to dig into our specific challenges—security, automation, deployment, compliance—and come back with concrete answers, not just generic "best practices" slides. Plus, you know, actual conversations instead of awkward hallway small talk.

It builds our European network

By going, we're connecting with the European Mac admin community we already rely on for knowledge and support. I'll meet people at other orgs solving the exact same problems we face, compare approaches and tooling, and build a local network we can lean on when new OS releases drop or regulations change. Think of it as investing in our support system before we actually need emergency help at 3am.

Immediate practical impact

The program focuses on expert sessions and hands-on workshops around macOS, iOS, and MDM. I expect to bring back at least 3-5 concrete improvements to our workflows, ideas to reduce manual work and support tickets through automation, and updated security practices that match what other European organizations are actually doing. I'll document everything in a short post-event summary so we can clearly track the value. No fluff, just actionable stuff.

It's a single-day event on April 30 in Leiden—easy to reach from Schiphol with good public transport. Total cost is around €300-€1000 (ticket, travel, maybe a hotel if needed).
